Traditional Lines - PSTN
We are able to offer high-quality PSTN voice services to our customers which sits comfortably with next-generation technologies. PSTN still plays an important role to both business users and individuals wishing to have traditional voice and other services such as the internet within their premises. Our Solution enables us to provide our customers with a service that is both versatile and reliable.
Benefits we can provide you
A choice of offerings – We can provide two types of analogue telephone lines, the first option being a single line option with a basic or premium service level or a multi-line service with a Premium service level as standard.
Reliable support – Our support is backed by the Openreach technical support team, so necessary maintenance and repairs will be carried out to resolve issues as soon as they are reported. We also have access to the Openreach WLR platform allowing us to address issues with our customers lines and track repairs keeping you informed of the current fault status.
In-built versatility – PSTN supports both incoming and outgoing calls, including those via other Public Electronic Communications Networks (PECN) such as Virgin Media, TalkTalk and Sky. Our infrastructure is capable of routing calls via our PECN to another without any distruption or call quality issues.
Please Note – Using this particular type of line with a VoIP telephone system could result in call quality issues, in particular lag and/or an echo. This will not affect broadband services which can be provided down these lines. This effect may be present if the lines are being used for calls. SIP Trunking going over xDSL services will not be affected as there will not be the conversion between digital and analogue causing the echo or delay in speech. If you are concerned about this issue or wish to speak to someone before committing please call us on 033 033 373 67.
Traditional Lines - ISDN2
It’s not just large corporations that need high-performance solutions; the small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) matter too. ISDN2e offers fast, error-free data transfers and all the benefits of a digital phone system. A PSTN alternative
With businesses relying on effective communications, ISDN2e is an attractive alternative to a traditional PSTN-based phone system. It delivers a range of benefits that help increase efficiency; voice calls are clearer and connected almost immediately and it also enables our customers to take advantage of rich multimedia communications, such as video conferencing.
Benefits for our customers
Flexibility – ISDN2e systems can have multiple Direct Dial-in (DDI) numbers, as well as seperate numbers for telephones or other devices. It’s also easy to add more connections to increase the number of lines (up to a maximum of eight).
Multi-tasking – Customers can have up to eight separate lines, meaning that they can perform different tasks simultaneously.
Please Note – Different interface cards may be required for your phone system for this type of line to function correctly as it is a digital circuit . Please call us on 033 033 373 67 if you are unsure of what you will need to get the most out of this type of line.
ISDN2 will be fully discontinued by 2025, so in place of it SIP or VoiP would be better if you are unable to get them.
Traditional Lines - ISDN30
Productive and flexible
Aimed at larger enterprise customers to communicate effectively, work more productively and increase their profitability with ISDN30. ISDN30 gives our customers all of the benefits of a digital phone system, including crystal-clear voice-call quality and multi-line flexibility.

ISDN30 will be fully discontinued by 2025, so in place of it SIP or VoiP would be better if you are unable to get them.
SIP trunking is the next step in telephony. It is versatile and works with various phone systems and can be linked to individual handsets.
DDI ranges can be be assigned to trunks to give users their own individual direct dial number. Trunks can be expanded and reduced as and when required. SIP trunking is provided on per channel basis, it provides a cost effective way for businesses to communicate without the need for additional fixed telephone lines to be installed which could be costly for smaller organisations when Openreach installation charges start from £99 for a single PSTN line (Which would only allow 1 call at any time).
SIP Trunks only require internet access to provide your telephone services to your PBX or IP enabled handset. This is beneficial to organisations who utilise multiple broadband connections, for example, if the primary internet connection fails the PBX can connect to the SIP trunk using the alternative broadband connection.
SIP trunking is an ideal replacement to ISDN and PSTN services as Openreach has a phase out plan for both ISDN and PSTN which will be completed by 2025. SIP trunking also provides many other features such as disaster recovery and high definition voice quality which is beneficial to everyone no matter who will be using the services.
If you are unsure whether this could benefit you or your organisation, give us a call on 033 033 373 67 to discuss your needs where a team will be happy to assist you with your needs.
